“I had never exercised at all during my life and when I reached my 40’s I found out that I had osteoporosis.  I was devastated, as I thought I would crumble into old age.  Then the fighting spirit kicked in and I did some research and discovered that exercise, particularly weight training, could actually increase bone strength – so I started my mission.  Karen had just started up her own Personal Training Studio and so I gave her a call and intended just to go along for a month or so until I knew what to do …. but training with Karen was so much fun and I became addicted to exercise and it changed my life.  Now, I am 63 years old and attend two different gym sessions, one power yoga class and walk on a regular basis – so I see my diagnosis as a very positive thing that happened to me – and it was training with Karen that got me started and I will be forever grateful to her”.

I first met Karen through our daughters’ at school and she immediately inspired and convinced me I could set and achieve a fitness target – Within a few months under her guidance I went from couch to 5 km.  Her training methods and more importantly her belief in what I could achieve drove me on to do a 10km – I surprised myself at the end of that event knowing that I could and would do better next time and in a moment of madness declared I would do a half marathon the following year.  Not once did Karen question this goal, instead she helped me believe I could do it and dedicated her time and patience to helping me achieve it.  Karen is a great trainer, patient, caring and flexible – Not only does she focus on the physical side of the training she also helps with the nutritional and mental aspects required for success.   Did I reach my goal?  Yes with Karen giving up her own chance of a personal best to be beside me every inch of the 21km encouraging and helping me achieve my goal – 21km in under 3 hours at aged 56 and on target to achieve my goal weight.  Thank you Karen

While I’m keeping physical fit under the natural sun in Karen’s Bootcamp, I enjoy breathing in the positive energy she continuously emits naturally.  She sincerely cares and supports each client to reach his or her dreams in a gentle and reliable way. I also enjoy the time spent with all the other Bootcampers. This is a loving, caring and fun group.

All weekend I meant to write to say thanks for a fantastic class on Friday. Great exercises, so much fun and funny conversations. Bootcamp is so much more than just good exercise it is a bootcamp for my spirits. Thanks for helping me to make the first positive changes I have seen in my body/shape in years.

Hi Karen,
I hope you are well. I wanted to let you know that this morning I did a 5 km run (on cross trainer in the gym, but it’s a start :)) and I actually enjoyed it! Thank you for your facebook quotes and enthusiasm about running. My last run was more than 5 years ago…
